Healthy Maryland Corner Store Recognition Program

The Healthy Maryland Corner Store works to increase access to healthy, affordable food items in small retail “corner stores” in Wicomico, and recognize store owners for the providing healthy items like: fresh produce, whole grains, low-sodium/low sugar products, while supporting store visibility and connection with local farmers.

Store owners are encouraged to participate for:

● Visibility of their store through promotion and recognition

● For ideas of displaying healthy products in the store, if needed

● Technical assistance in promoting healthy food options

● Connection to local partners and farmers.
