RECRUITING FOR DART YOUTH COALITION

(September 23, Salisbury, MD) Calling youth with a passion for health! The Wicomico County Health Department is recruiting young people ages 11-18 for the Drug Action Response Team Youth Coalition (DART). DART’s mission is to address health issues that are important to youth in Wicomico County, including drug and alcohol use, mental health, skills, as well as be able to express their creativity. Members will also earn a $20 gift card of their choice for each meeting and activity they participate in.

DART Leader Cynthia Shifler says, “DART is a youth-led and adult-guided coalition hoping to make a difference in Wicomico County by providing education on health-related topics. Youth members will get the opportunity to meet peers with similar interests from across the country and learn skills that can help the community.”
