OVERDOSE AWARENESS DAY EVENT IN WICOMICO COUNTY
(August 16, 2024 Salisbury, MD) The Annual Overdose Awareness Day event will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Winterplace Park, 6737 Blue Ribbon Road Salisbury, MD 21804. This FREE family-friendly evening includes stories from family members who have lost a loved one in their battle, lyrical dance, support and grief resources, pizza and snow cones. The event aims to spread strength and hope, be proactive in an attempt to draw our community closer, and dispel stigma. A candlelight vigil and a time of remembrance will conclude the event.
This event is an opportunity to remember those in the community who have succumbed to overdose. Overdose Awareness Day offers all who have been affected a chance to publicly mourn and help the wider community understand that fatal overdoses profoundly affect our society. Help us spread awareness, remember those who have lost their battle, and acknowledge the grief of family and friends left behind. #endoverdose. #weseeyou
